How to order a custom printed coloring book

How to order a custom printed coloring book

You can turn any folder into a printed coloring book. ColorBliss prints every page in the folder, in folder order, and ships the book to your door. For the cover, you can use a ColorBliss design or upload a front and back you already made.

Before you start

ColorBliss turns text prompts and photos into coloring pages. Every page you make is saved to your library, and you can group pages into folders to keep projects together. A printed book is built from one folder, so the first step is to gather the pages you want in it.

You do not need to make your own cover to order a book. If you do have one, you can upload it during checkout.

What it does

Order book starts a checkout for one folder. You pick a binding and a quantity, set the title, choose your cover art, and enter a shipping address. Books are US letter size (8.5 by 11 inches) and open with a title page built from the title and subtitle you enter.

If you already have a finished cover, upload it as the front, the back, or both. ColorBliss prints your image exactly as you supply it, with no template or text added on top.

How to order a book

  1. Open the folder that holds the pages for your book
  2. Click Order book
  3. Pick a binding (Stapled, Paperback, or Coil) and set the quantity, then click Continue
  4. Enter a title and an optional subtitle on Cover design
  5. Choose your cover art for the front and the back, then click Continue
  6. Enter your shipping address and pick a shipping method
  7. Review the preview and click Pay now

After you pay, you get a confirmation email with your order details. Within 1 business day we email you a proof of the book. Once you approve it, we send the book to our print partner, who prints it and ships it to you.

How to use your own cover

Use this when you already have a cover file, such as a PNG sitting in your Downloads folder.

  1. Get to Cover design in the book order
  2. Select Upload my front cover under Cover art
  3. Choose your file and wait for the preview to show your image
  4. Repeat with Upload my back cover if you have a back design too

If you only have a front, leave the back on ColorBliss design. You can still add optional back cover text.

Your file needs to be a PNG or JPEG, 15 MB or smaller, and at least 2550 by 3300 pixels. That is letter size at 300 DPI. ColorBliss rejects anything smaller.

Your book title and subtitle appear only on the inside title page when you upload a front. An uploaded back skips the back cover text field for the same reason.

Using a ColorBliss cover instead

With ColorBliss design selected, the front uses the first page in your folder, so put the page you want on the cover first. You can pick a Classic or Framed layout, a gradient, and a font. Those choices also style the title page. They have no effect on an uploaded image.

For a short dedication, open Optional extras and fill in Title page note.

Limits to know about

Shipping: We ship to the United States and Canada. You need a recipient name, street address, city, state or region, postal code, and phone number.

Binding: Stapled works for 4 to 23 pages. Paperback needs at least 15. Coil lets the book lie flat when open, and it is the only option for a folder with fewer than 4 pages.

Pages: The book includes the whole folder. To leave a page out, remove it from the folder before you order.

Uploaded covers stay with the order. They do not show up in your library or in the folder. If you want to turn a photo into line art, use Photo to coloring page instead, which creates a new page rather than keeping your original file.

Publishing elsewhere: This checkout does not produce a single PDF with the front, spine, and back for services like Amazon KDP.

Tips

If your back cover text does not fit, Continue stays disabled until you shorten it.

Pay now stays disabled while we prepare your print files. It turns on as soon as they are ready.
